Our Five-Step Process

  1. Assessment & Edge Layout – on-site visit and precise bed lines marked.
  2. Soil Prep – delivery of screened topsoil where grade or fertility needs a boost.
  3. Mulch Color Selection – you choose from six hardwood blends; we handle supply.
  4. Hand-Spread Application – 2–3 in. depth, trunks & stems kept clear.
  5. Clean Finish – leaf-blowing and driveway sweep-up; zero mess left behind.

Why Topsoil Matters

Great mulch locks in moisture, but only healthy soil feeds the roots beneath it. We deliver a 50/50 blend of screened loam and organic compost—the same mix we use for our own beds—so new plantings thrive from day one.

Mulch & Topsoil FAQ

How much mulch do I need?

A good rule is 1 cu yd for every 100 sq ft at a 3 in. depth. Our estimator can measure your beds on-site.

Will dyed mulch harm my pets or plants?

No—our colorants are vegetable-based and fully cured before delivery.

When is the best time to install topsoil?

Spring and early fall provide cooler temps and regular rain, but we can spread topsoil any time the ground isn’t frozen.
