How far in advance should I book?

Lawn maintenance slots fill by early spring; project-based work (hardscape, drainage) is usually 3–4 weeks out.

Services & Scheduling

How often is lawn mowing?

Weekly April–October. Bi-weekly is offered during slower growth (late summer & fall).

Do you plow snow?

Not at this time—we focus on green-season services to keep crews specialized.

Can I combine multiple services in one visit?

Absolutely. Many clients pair lawn cuts with hedge trimming or fertilizer applications to save time and money.

How long does a French drain install take?

Most residential drains are completed in 1–2 days; larger systems up to a week.

Pricing & Payments

What payment methods do you accept?

Credit card, ACH, check or cash. Invoices are emailed with secure pay-now links.

Do you charge sales tax?

Exterior landscape labor is non-taxable in NY; materials like mulch or stone include NY sales tax.

Is there a fuel surcharge?

No—our pricing is transparent; any unforeseen fees are approved in writing first.

Can I set up auto-pay for weekly mowing?

Yes, our client portal supports auto-charge after each visit or monthly billing.

Licensing & Insurance

Are you licensed?

Rockland County Home Improvement License H-24290.

Do you carry insurance?

$2 million general liability and full worker’s comp. Certificates provided on request.

Are employees background-checked?

Yes—all crew members pass background screens and safety training.

Environment & Materials

Is your fertilizer safe for pets?

We use slow-release, phosphorus-free blends. Pets may return to turf once the product dries (~20 minutes).

Where do you source mulch & topsoil?

Local NYDEC-certified suppliers; topsoil is screened and compost-amended.

Do you offer organic lawn programs?

Yes—corn-gluten pre-emergent, organic compost tea and soil amendments are available.

Technical Details

What mower blade height do you cut at?

3¼″ for cool-season grass; height adjusts with weather to minimize stress.

How deep is the base for paver patios?

4–6″ compacted item 4 plus 1″ bedding sand, depending on soil compaction tests.

Will power-washing damage my composite deck?

We soft-wash composite at <2000 PSI and use a fan tip held 12″ off the surface.
